OUR STORY

Duffus Health Centre was born in 2006. Previously known as Duffus Street Medical Clinic, located in North End Halifax, we changed the name and moved to a brand new location on Bayers Road. At that time, our clinic moved from a Fee for Service environment to an Alternative Payment Plan, with our focus on collaborative care. In March of 2021, after fifteen years in our Bayers Road location, we moved to a brand new space at Lacewood Drive. In collaboration with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, we are now established with a collaborative care group consisting of ten family physicians, family practice nurses,, a  social worker , a practice manager, and our administrative staff.  Effective October 1, 2024, our clinic moved to a brand new LFM payment model but still remain committed to practicing in a collaborative setting.
